Flowdrill details


The Standard Flowdrill witll produce a collar, This collar is formed from the upflowing material which is rolled over. The standrad Flowdrill is completely chipless.


The standard type comes in short and long versions, the correct type is chosen according to the material thckness and strength in connection required.


The Flat Flowdrill will produce a flush surface on the material. The flat surface is created by a milling cutter encorporated in the Flowdrill. 


Important: the Flat type should always be used with a stop end position in order not to cut too deeply into the material. The Flat blade is possible to regrind. 


The Aludrill is specially developed to drill in aluminium. The Aludrill creates an extruded hole with a 120 degree counter sink. No manual counter boring or setting of inserts is necessary.
The Aludrill can be used on machining centers with standard machine coolant.


All Flowdrill tools can be supplied with a REM which uses a fluted tip to remove coatings or layers which may hinder the initial Flowdrilling process such as:



Zinc plating



A Rem point can also reduce axial force making this suitable for materials that may dent due to their minimal thickness or lack of rigidity.

  • Super long - This Flowdrill is utilised when thickness or circumstances require a longer cylindrical geometry
  • Super Short - This Flowdrill is used when the form of the tube is too small for the standard length tool
  • Chamfer / Radius - The Flowdrill can incorporate a special chamfer/radius to support your sealing or countersink requirements
